A special part of Earthly Tethers that is  vulnerable and raw. With a heavy heart and infinite love, the Untethering Project is dedicated to the souls I've loved and lost in this lifetime. Not only to honor the humans we loved deeply, but to also honor the beloved animals who have impacted our lives in ways that are unexplainable. Grief fills my world in abundance, so I'm harnessing that heaviness by commemorating final golden days with families who want to celebrate their loved ones. Tethering myself to something I love on this earth is the easy part, it's the untethering part I'm still navigating. It's uncharted territory, but I'd be honored to share my space with those are also untethering...

Untethering in Rainbows

 

A session honoring elderly pets or pets with terminal illness who will be crossing the rainbow bridge soon. For all pet parents, making the decision to let your pet go is one of the hardest decisions you'll ever make in your life, but it is also one of the most selfless acts of love. For their unconditional love and unwavering loyalty, all pets deserve their last golden days with their favorite people to be professionally captured. A session filled with love, cuddles, and many treats will be an unscripted approach led by your pet's energy, comfort, mobility, and safety. This session includes:


Up to 90 minutes

1 Location planned in Pierce County, Wa

Immediate family only w/ an addition of 1-2 of their comfort ppl.

A minimum of 15 Professional Images

Favorite toys and treats encouraged

Eternally Untethering

The extremities of love and loss can bare an intangible heaviness on the heart, especially days leading up to those moments when you have to say, "goodbye for now." A heart shattering process that takes acts of bravery, unconditional love, and an eternity to heal, my heart is heavy with you. Many final moments are inevitably sad, but it can also be one of the most treasured moments that makes those final days worthy of remembering.

Yes. Once I receive your inquiry or booking request, I will reach out to schedule a 30min consult via phone or video chat. From experience, this could turn out to be very beautiful sendoff or an extremely intense memory, so it is important to me that we are both comfortable sharing this special space. It's also an opportunity to discuss details and expectations, and the time for you to ask any other questions you may have.

There is no catch. End of life expenses can be significantly costly financially and emotionally, and I wanted to make this type of session accessible for families. If I could do it for free, I would, but my photography business is a main support for my family.

This depends on the mobility and safety of your loved one. If they are still energetic and mobile, a quiet and peaceful nearby area would be perfect. If they are not feeling their best or unable to move comfortably, it will take place where they are. Whether it's at a park or in your bedroom, the intention is to capture the love you've shared. It will be beautiful regardless of location.
